To get the correct bearings and seal kit for your Long Chih trailer, you will want to get the part numbers that are stamped on the bearings of your trailer. If you have hub and drum assembly # 8-174-5UC3, which you referenced, the assembly comes with the bearing sand seals. However, the replacement parts are:
# 25580 Inner bearing
# 15123 Outer bearing
# RG06-090 seals

It sounds like you're looking for a replacement 5-bolt hub that takes bearings # 25580 and # LM67048. Matching the old hub's bearings to the replacement's is essential to ensure the new hub will properly fit on the spindle. I have the Dexter Trailer Hub Assembly - 3,500 lbs Axles - 5 on 5-1/2, # 84555UC1, which is rated at 1,750 lbs. each. The bearings, races, cap and seal included.

The best way to find the correct wheel bearings, races, and seals for your utility trailer will be to pull a wheel and hub of the trailer and find the numbers on your wheel bearing.
With the bearing numbers, you will be able to check the attached link and match the correct bearings to your axle.

The best way to determine the correct parts for your homemade trailer, is to remove the hub from the trailer and either get part numbers from the inner and outer bearings and races, and grease seal or measure the spindle in 3 places and the hub in two places.

The best way to determine the replacement bearing, race and seal parts needed for a trailer is to pull one of the hubs and remove them so their part numbers can be noted. Usually bearings and seals will have part numbers stamped or molded into them, as you can see in the linked image.

Your hub bearings are most commonly found in 6,000lb axles and will require one of the following hubs.

As you may have noticed, the highest capacity spindle we carry is for a 7,000 lb axle, # TRU37FR. Your best bet is to source the spindles for a 10,000 lb axle through a local trailer shop or dealer.

The highest weight rated idler hub we offer with a 4 on 4 bolt pattern would be the # CE13109 which has a 2700 lb capacity and uses a # L44649 inner and outer wheel bearing and a 12192TB grease seal which has a 1.249 inner and a 1.983 outer diameter. My research indicates Timken bearing 3062 has an inner bore diameter of 0.6250-inches, which is very small compared to the bearing and hub products we offer. The smallest bearing we offer has an inner diameter of 0.750-inches and is part # LM11949. This is rated for hubs used on 3000-lb axles. We have no hubs that use smaller bearings like yours.

Thickness is not usually a dimension associated with picking out a replacement seal. Typically it's the outer diameter and the bearing used with it that is used for picking out a replacement seal.
